Struggling with Ruffles?
Sick of Gathering & Ruffling by hand?
Find out How the pros do it...
If you're looking at this Ruffler Foot, chances are...
- You know how to make ruffles by hand. Now you want a faster method.
- You've made a few tutus already, and you know how much time (and PAIN) it took.
- Youre sick & tired of thread breaking - in the middle of gathering a full skirt!
There's NOTHING more frustrating than having to RE-DO the gathering on ruffles or a full skirt - because your thread breaks!
Especially when you have been at it all night - and SO close to finishing!
What if making ruffles quickly and perfectly was easier than you think?
Often the hard part is to come up with exactly the right tool, for the right job, at the right price.
Of course, there is no doubt that in order to achieve beautiful results, you need to practice.....
But the first step is having the right tools.

Is this a Genuine Janome Foot?
Unlike some others in the market, this foot is made by the same people that makes Janome sewing machine parts. At the same factory where Janome gets their parts made and packaged - located only a few minutes down the road from Janome's own factory.
This company is a third-generation family business that specialises in presser feet and parts. They are one of the few certified makers for Janome, Brother, Singer, Pfaff and others. If Janome and other brands can trust them - you can trust the quality too.
I've personally visited the factory to verify for myself. I was genuinely impressed because of their a high quality assurance standard - specified by Janome Japan - the parent company of Janome Australia.
The only difference is in the packaging. I'm calling mine "generic" because we had ours packaged under our own brand.
This means I'm 100% happy and confident that you and your sewing machine are in safe hands - because I recommend this foot to all my students, and use it for my own sewing too!
So do our happy customers - here's just one of many reviews:
Just want to say a Huge belated 'Thank You'.... I waited to try your foot first... because I previously bought a 'cheap' (very cheap) foot a few weeks ago elsewhere... and it broke after a few uses.
Your foot feels solid and seems much better quality...and works a lot smoother...and you posted it out so fast I got my project finished quickly....so Thank You!!"

This Ruffler Foot is ideal for creating fullness -
- whether you're making a tutu, a bed valance or even a wedding dress!
Rufflers have been around for a very long time and have changed very little over the years; they have however remained very popular.
Don't let the look of a ruffler fool you - as intricate and complcated as it appear to be, its unique design actually makes it very easy to use.
The "cogs and wheels" and moving parts on your ruffler allows fabric to be ruffled or pleated to the desired fullness - quickly and easily - and also has the capability to vary the sizes of ruffles. You will find that differnt fabric give very different end results, so it is definitely worth your while to test a few settings to find just the perfect setting for your particular project.
Once you've tried it, you will NEVER go back to making gathering by hand ever again!
What does "Low Shank" and "High Shank" mean?
It means "shank height" or "shank size".
Most domestic machines have LOW shanks.
Just to give you an idea, we sell about 10 low shank presser feet to ONE high shank foot. That means if you don't know what sort of shank your machine has, it probably has a low shank.
Because High Shank machines are generally "fancy" embroidery models which are more costly, and those who invest in these models tend to know exactly what shank type it is.
What makes this foot "universal"?
How does it adjust?
Take a closer look,
you will see one adjustable screw or "dial".
As you loosen the screw or "dial" in or out, you will be able to slide the whole foot left or right.
This is where you get to adjust your foot in relation to your needle position to suit ANY situation... and this means you're covered for most sewing projects imaginable!
This foot goes onto your machine just like any other screw-on presser foot. It is designed to fit most domestic machines.
A Ruffler Foot will give your work a professional finish. Always.
With no hand-gathering required, you will be amazed at how much you can do by machine!
Sure, there are LOTS of different methods of gathering in fullness in the fabrc to make ruffles...
But if you were making lots of pretty tutus, vintage-inspired dresses, or evening gowns....
You might find this ruffle the BEST investment. EVER.
And say good-bye to other fiddly methods!
Of course, the more you practice, the more comfortable you will become...
See this detailed description from a happy customer:
"This Ruffler Foot is a fantastic time-saver if you have a lot of ruffles to do.
You get much more even ruffles than you would by hand and you can a lot more ruffles in very little time. It takes a delicate hand and a little practice but once you get the hang of it, you can start putting ruffles on everything in sight.
Of course, this foot is only going to work on certain machines so make sure that your machine is listed up there in the technical details and, even if it is, take a good look at the foot and ankle of your machine and compare it to the photo. This foot is for a low-shank machine with a rectangular ankle where the foot is attached by a screw.
A couple of things to know:
1) make sure your needle is screwed on tight, because the foot might loosen it as you sew along and the needle might fall out
2) hold your thread before you start stitching to avoid a tangled mess underneath your fabric
3) always sew test strips of fabric to check your tension and setting for the perfect look you want to achieve
4) when installing the foot, put the selection on the "star" and this will allow you to move the knife arm
Super Important Tip: The foot is very big and bulky so it is easy to think the foot is down when it is not.....
If you don't put the foot down before you start ruffling, you'll just wind up with a big knot and a tangled bobbin so always make sure you definitely have the foot down.
It is ALWAYS best to make your ruffle longer than you need to begin with, since it is difficult to predict the exact finished length. That means a ruffler foot may not always be the best choice if you have an exact length to match up and no extra fabric to make more....
However, if you are planning to put rows and rows of ruffles on something, you can use this foot to make one super-long ruffle and then cut it to fit after using the ruffler foot and it works a treat.
Give it a try! You will love it."
